Cartref House has been in our family for over 70 years and during this time it has played a big part in our lives. As kids, the house belonged to our grandparents who we used to visit regularly and we lived in the bungalow opposite. 

The family owned both the Lovat Arms and Caledonian hotels and growing up we worked in both ... from a very young age! Our parents moved into Cartref House in the late 1980s and turned it into a successful bed and breakfast establishment until their retirement. Jamie, David and Julie (The Paterson Siblings) have transformed Cartref in recent times and now run this newly established holiday home.
